5.Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6.Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7.but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8.And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
SUMMARY
Unlike Jesus' saying, "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39)", what the mind of the human(the sinner), a kind of “memory bundle” of the self, ultimately sticks to, is that "I must never lose my life." Therefore, human beings themselves cannot eliminate valuable and meaningful things from their lives for their sake which they have filled in their lives in order to keep their lives. Humans even try to invade heaven with the very life they have kept. “목숨을 얻는 자는 잃을 것이요 나를 위하여 자기 목숨을 잃는 자는 얻으리라(마10:39)”는 예수님의 말씀과는 달리, 자아의 ‘기억다발’인 인간(죄인)의 마음이 궁극적으로 붙잡고 있는 것은 나는 절대로 내 목숨을 잃어서는 안돼.”라고 하는 것이다. 그러하기에 인간들은 자기 목숨을 지키기 위해서 일평생 그들이 그 목숨에 채워 넣은 가치 있고 의미 있는 내용을 스스로 제거할 수가 없는 것이다. 심지어 인간은 자신이 지킨 그 목숨으로 천국까지 침노하려고 한다.
In today's text, the apostle Paul introduces the heart of Christ Jesus (the attitude), which is the exact opposite of this sinner's (human) mind. Paul makes it clear that only when the sinner's mind to keep his life is replaced by the heart of Jesus, the spirit of the cross, saying, "I don't mind losing my life", all can become one mind. When all comes to all, salvation is a matter of whether you have a “Jesus' heart”. Therefore, the fact that someone harbored the "heart of Jesus" is proof that the effect of the cross was working on him. 오늘 본문에서 사도 바울은 이 같은 죄인(인간)의 마음과 정반대인 ‘그리스도 예수의 마음(태도)’을 소개한다. 바울은 제각기 자기 목숨을 지키려는 죄인의 마음이 “나는 내 목숨을 잃어도 좋아”라고 하는 십자가의 정신, 곧 ‘예수의 마음’으로 교체될 때만 비로소 모두 한 마음이 될 수 있다는 것을 분명히 한다. 구원은 결국 ‘예수의 마음’을 품고 있느냐의 문제이다. 그러므로 누군가가 ‘예수의 마음’을 품었다는 것은 그에게서 십자가의 효력이 작동하고 있다는 증거이다.
Anyone who has been taken over by the cross's heart testifies Jesus while denying himself, from the perspective of the beneficiary of the salvation and the witness of the cross, regardless of his desire, decision, and deeds (good or evil in his own eyes). Because of their unusual, strange minds and testimonies, they are hated by those who are filled with desire for salvation, just as was Jesus.십자가의 마음에 장악당한 사람이라면 누구나 자신의 원함과 결정과 행함(자기 눈에 선한 일이든, 악한 일이든)과 일체 상관없이 자신에게 일방적으로 주어진 구원에 대해서 그 구원의 수혜자와 십자가의 증인의 입장에서 자신을 부인하면서, 예수님을 증거 하게 된다. 이들은 이 같은 그들의 특이하고 낯선 마음과 증언으로 인해 구원욕구로 가득 차있는 자들에게서 예수님이 세상에서 받았던 것과 동일한 미움을 받게 된다.
In fact, the sinner's mind, which contrasts extremely with the mind of Jesus, could not tolerate Jesus so different from the Messiah they expected, so they treated him arbitrarily, hated him, and eventually chased him out of their own world. Because the way Jesus presented salvation causes conflicts with all human salvation ideas and destroys them, and consequently makes it clear that there is no "path of salvation" in the human world. 사실, 예수님의 마음과 극단적으로 대비되는 죄인의 마음은 그들이 기대하는 메시아상과는 너무나 다른 예수님을 용납할 수 없었고 그래서 그들은 예수님을 임의로 대했고 예수님을 미워했고 결국 예수님을 자신들의 세상에서 좇아내었다. 왜냐하면 예수님이 제시하신 구원의 방식은 모든 인간적인 구원 아이디어와 충돌을 일으키고 그것을 폐기시키며 결과적으로 인간 세상에는 ‘구원의 길’은 없다는 것을 분명하게 하기 때문이다.
The heart of Jesus begins with 'one' and is shared into 'many', one that brings 'many' together. Originally, the human world (the world of sinners) also started from the mind of one. According to Roman 5:12, it is said, "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--" 예수님의 마음은 ‘하나’로부터 시작되어 ‘다수’로 분배되는 마음이며 이 하나는 다수를 하나로 집결하게 한다. 본래 인간 세계(죄인의 세계)도 ‘하나’의 마음에서 출발했다. 로마서 5:12에 보면, “이러므로 한 사람으로 말미암아 죄가 세상에 들어오고 죄로 말미암아 사망이 왔나니 이와 같이 모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로 사망이 모든 사람에게 이르렀느니라”고 되어 있다.
As this word tells you, 'one man' and 'all men' are connected. So humans connect with each other. The common denominator is "the gathering of power and wisdom" for the site of one's own life. So in a world united by this power and wisdom, humans do not give up hope to themselves until the end. To this end, humans put their ultimate true intentions into the "God's image", which was invented with their own ideas. So the so-crafted god does not point out that there is a problem with the existing human self or life. Rather, that god tries to live up to the heart and will of man no matter what he does. Because the ultimate goal of humans is the "solidarity of their own lives." 이 말씀이 알려 주듯이, ‘한 사람’과 ‘모든 사람’은 연결되어 있다. 그래서 인간들끼리는 서로 마음이 통한다. 그 공통분모는 바로 ‘자신의 목숨 부지를 위한 힘과 지혜의 집결’이다. 그래서 이 힘과 지혜로 통합된 세상에서 인간은 끝까지 그들 자신에 희망을 놓지 않는다. 이를 위해 인간들은, 자신들의 아이디어로 창안한 ‘하나님 형상’에다가 자신들의 궁극적인 본심을 담아낸다. 그러므로 그렇게 조작된 신은 기존의 인간의 자아나 목숨에 문제가 있음을 지적하지 않는다. 오히려 그 신은 어떻게 하든지 인간의 마음과 뜻에 부응해주려고 한다. 왜냐하면 인간의 궁극적 지향점은 ‘자기 목숨의 건재함’이기 때문이다.
But God says that all humans belonging to “First Adam” are dead because of sin. In the presence of God, the human world has already turned out to be dead. No matter how wonderfully and perfectly the dead humans know God with their wisdom, God does not recognize their "God" recognition because it is only a ploy for them inorder to be blessed and make their lives immortal. The perceptions and deeds of the dead are just nothing to God. 하지만 하나님께서는 모든 ‘첫 아담’에 속한 인간이 죄로 말미암아 죽어 있다고 말씀하신다. 하나님 앞에서 인간 세계는 이미 죽은 것으로 드러났다. 죽은 인간들이 아무리 근사하고 완벽하게 자기들의 지혜로 하나님을 안다고 지절댈지라도 그것은 자신들이 복 받고 자신들의 목숨을 불멸로 만들기 위한 수작에 불과한 것이기에 하나님께서는 그들의 ‘하나님’ 인식을 인정하지 않으신다. 죽은 자들의 인식과 행위는 하나님께는 아무것도 아닌 것이다.
Therefore the salvation of God, who saves the dead sinner, is quite different from what man expects. Jesus explained this in Matthew 12:29: "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house." As such, the Lord's way of salvation is to knock down the leader of the rebels and "carry off" his people who are captured by the rebels. 그러므로 죽은 죄인을 구원하시는 하나님의 구원은 인간이 예상하는 것과는 전혀 다르다. 예수님은 이것을 마태복음 12:29에서 이렇게 설명하셨다. “사람이 먼저 강한 자를 결박하지 않고야 어떻게 그 강한 자의 집에 들어가 그 세간을 늑탈하겠느냐 결박한 후에야 그 집을 늑탈하리라” 이처럼, 주님의 구원방식은 반란군의 우두머리를 때려눕히고 그 반란군에 사로잡힌 자기 백성을 ‘탈취해’ 나오시는 방식이다.
But those who really need to be plucked out don't even know that they are obsessed with "the rebels who revolted against heaven." Rather, they ask back : "Is this really bad right now? Is it abnormal?" Humans (sinners) believe that there will be a "God" who created them based on the fact that they exist here in the world, and therefore they pride themselves as those who fulfill the mission granted by the "God" who created them. 그런데 정작 빼냄을 받아야 할 자들은 자신들이 ‘하늘나라에 반란을 일으킨 반군(악한 영들)’에 사로잡혀 있다는 것조차 모른다. 그들은 오히려 “지금 이 상태가 정말 나쁜 거야? 비정상인거야?”라고 되레 반문한다. 인간들(죄인들)은 자신들이 여기 이 세상에 존재한다는 점을 근거로 하여 그들을 만든 ‘신’이라는 존재가 있을 것이라고 여기고 그러므로 그들은 그 자신들을 만든 ‘신’으로부터 부여받은 사명을 이 세상에서 감당하는 자들이라는 자부심을 갖는다.
However, the Bible overturns this worldview that humans hold : it was confirmed that there is a Heavenly Father because Jesus appeared in the world, and there are only sinners in this world, not humans, and the world of those sinners is under God's curse and is in a fate to perish. So for sinners who deserve to go to hell, they don't have the right to beg 'Please, put me in heaven' and moreover they don't even know they're in a state of rebellion against God. 그러나 성경은 인간들이 견지하고 있는 이 같은 세계관을 뒤집어 엎어버린다. 즉 ‘예수님이 세상에 나타나셨기 때문에 하나님 아버지가 계시다는 것이 확인되었고, 이 세상에는 인간이 아니라 오직 죄인들만 있을 따름이며 그 죄인들의 세상은 하나님의 저주 아래 있고, 망할 운명에 처해있다고 하는 것이다. 따라서 지옥 가야 마땅한 죄인에게는 ‘제발 저를 천국에 넣어주세요’라는 애원을 할 자격 따위는 없으며 더욱이 그들은 자신들이 하나님께 반발하는 상태에 놓여 있다는 것조차도 모른다.
Therefore, the final goal of the people of the Lord, who have been saved by Jesus' flesh and blood from such ignorance, stubbornness, the hardening of their hearts, and the force of devil, is not to keep their own lives, but "to hate their own lives" (Luke 14:26), "to have Jesus' mind". All their individual efforts, memories and past should be deleted in front of the Lord. 따라서 이 같은 무지와 고집과 굳은 마음과 악마의 세력에서 예수님의 살과 피로 빼내심을 받은 주님의 백성들의 최종 지향점은 자기 목숨 유지가 아니라 '자기 목숨을 미워하는 것(눅14:26)', 곧 ‘예수님의 마음'을 품는 것으로 귀결된다. 이들에게서는 개별적인 자신들의 모든 노력과 기억과 과거는 그분 앞에서 삭제 당해야한다.
The saints are those whose hearts have been replaced by those of the Lord. Therefore they are told with joy that those are nothing but things that are never before the Lord at any time, whether those are precious they regard as life or regretful and shameful that they do not want to remember. Now their Maginot Line (final line of defense) has been changed from "preserving their own lives" to "It's OK to lose my life." For their Maginot Line has been retreated to the spot where Jesus' cross was built. 성도는 그들의 마음이 주님의 마음으로 교체된 자들이다. 그러므로 그들은 자신들이 목숨처럼 여기는 소중한 것이든, 혹은 기억하고 싶지 않은 후회스럽고 수치스러운 것이든 그것들은 언제든 주님 앞에서는 결코 없는 것들뿐임을 기쁨 가운데 통보받는다. 이제 그들의 마지노선(최종 방어선)은 '자기 목숨 보전'이 아니라 ‘내 목숨 따위는 잃어도 괜찮아.’로 변경 되어버렸다. 예수님의 십자가가 세워진 그 지점으로 그들의 마지노선이 물러가 버렸기 때문이다.
Jacob's life illustrates this process of replacement. Chapter 30 of Genesis records an incident in which God took special measures to personally take care of Jacob, who had worked hard for a long time on his uncle's ranch but was not duly paid, which led to the irregular reproduction of the sheep to be given him. Jacob regarded his rich possession as a blessing he deserved. However, in Genesis chapter 32, a reversal occurred. He met God in the Jabbok River, and he died as Jacob, and under the condition that his name was changed to Israel, he was brought back to life. 야곱의 인생은 이 같은 교체의 과정을 잘 보여준다. 창세기 30장에는 외삼촌의 목장에서 오랜 세월을 수고로이 일했지만 정당하게 삯을 받지 못했던 야곱에게 하나님께서 친히 그의 삯을 챙겨 주시기 위해 특단의 조치를 행하시는 사건이 기록되어 있는데 그것은 하나님께서 야곱의 품삯으로 주어질 양들이 변칙적으로 많이 번식하게 하신 것이다. 야곱은 자신의 풍부한 소유를 자신이 마땅히 누릴 복으로 여겼다. 하지만 창세기 32장에서는 반전이 일어났다. 그는 얍복강에서 하나님을 만남으로써 야곱이라는 이름의 그는 죽고 그의 이름이 이스라엘로 바뀌는 조건하에 그는 다시 살아난다.
Jacob's change makes him the ancestor of Israel, the nation of the covenant, and his twelve sons the ancestors of 12 tribes of Israel, the people of the covenant, which also becomes the priming water of 144,000 (12 × 12× 1000), the complete number of the people of the covenant. After all, Jacob's blessing is that he was chosen before the creation of the world so that God could use his life to show God's way of producing His people with the new Adam lineage. In this way God makes the heart of Jesus Christ, who is one new man," become the heart of many. 야곱이 이스라엘로 대체된 이 사건은 그를 언약의 국가 이스라엘의 조상이 되게 했고 그의 열두 아들은 언약민족 이스라엘의 12지파의 조상이 되게 했으며 이것은 또한 언약백성의 완성 숫자인 144,000(12 ×12×1000)의 마중물이 되게 한다. 결국 야곱의 복은 하나님께서 그의 인생을 사용하셔서 새 아담 계통으로 자기 백성을 생산하시는 하나님의 방식을 보여주도록 그가 창세전에 택함을 입었다고 하는 것이다. 하나님은 이 방식으로 ‘한 새 사람’이신 예수 그리스도의 마음이 많은 사람의 마음이 되도록 하신다.
Only in this way can the Son's heart be connected to the Father forever and ever. Therefore, the name of the Father in the Old Testament, the name of the Lord, becomes Jesus himself. As with the Son and the Father, only those who are replaced by the heart of Jesus today and know that they are already dead can communicate with the heavenly Father and call Him "Abba, Father". Such men are glad to be informed by the Holy Spirit of their extinction, that they are already dead. In addition, they enjoy the power of the Lord's cross as those who prove that only the Lord Jesus Christ is alive, not those who show proof that they are alive with their faith and deeds. 이 방식으로라야 아들의 마음이 아버지에게까지 끊어짐 없이 영원토록 연결될 수 있다. 따라서 구약성경에 나오는 아버지의 이름, 곧 ‘주의 이름’은 예수님 자신이 되신다. 자식과 아버지가 통하는 것처럼, 오늘날 예수님의 마음으로 교체되어 자신이 이미 죽은 자임을 아는 자들만이 하늘의 아버지와 통할 수 있으며 그분을 아바 아버지라고 부를 수 있다. 그런 자들은 자신들의 소멸, 곧 자신들은 이미 죽은 자라는 것을 성령에 의해 통보 받는 것을 기뻐한다. 뿐만 아니라 그들은 자신들의 믿음과 행함을 가지고 자기 자신이 살아있다는 증거를 보여주는 자들로서가 아닌 오직 주 예수 그리스도만 살아계심을 증거 하는 자들로서 주님의 십자가의 효력을 누린다.
