Humans live in the world thinking that they only deal with visible humans. But the command of the apostle of today's text - "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes" - shows that this idea is a delusion. The devil said to man, "Live your life as a master. Show your values to the world, that's all you've got in your life." Human beings are obsessed with this idea and are unconsciously already the guardians of the devil and the enthusiastic fans of the devil. 인간은 자신이 눈에 보이는 인간만 상대한다고 생각하면서 세상을 산다. 그러나 오늘 본문의 사도의 명령 -마귀의 궤계를 능히 대적하기 위하여 하나님의 전신 갑주를 입으라-을 보면 이같은 생각은 망상임을 알 수 있다. 마귀는 인간에게 “스스로 주인으로 살아가라. 너의 가치를 세상에게 보여주라, 그것이 네 인생의 전부다”라고 하는 생각을 주입시켰고 인간은 이 생각에 사로잡혔으며 무의식적으로는 이미 악마의 수호자, 악마의 열성팬이 되어있다.

For man who is not only locked in the values of good and evil of his own standards, but is also locked in the pursuit of his own glory, the devil is not the being whom man can deal with. Because it is the devil that injected that idea into human beings. Thus, the weapons that men relied on to fight against demons - self-conceit, self-knowledge, self-reliance, self-righteousness, self-belief - should be completely destroyed. 자기 기준의 선과 악이라는 가치판단에 갇혀있을 뿐 아니라 자기 영광을 추구하는 것에 갇혀 있는 인간에게 있어 정작 그런 생각을 넣어준 장본인인 마귀는 인간이 상대할 수 있는 존재가 아니다. 그러므로 마귀와 싸워보겠다고 인간이 의지하던 무기들 -자기 생각, 자기 지혜, 자기 힘, 자기 의, 자기 믿음-은 완전히 폐기처분되어야 마땅하다.

Therefore, in today's text the apostle urges the saints to put on the whole armor of God. The devil knows that he had already determined to be destroyed by God, and admits that Jesus is the only one who can bother him. Therefore, the saints should be aware of this fact and should be armed with God's armor rather than their own weapons. In the end, "the full armor of God" refers to the cross of Jesus. "Wearing the full armor of God" means “being in Jesus Christ, being in the Lord.” 그러므로 오늘 본문에서 사도는 성도에게 ‘하나님의 전신갑주를 입으라’고 강권한다. 악마는 자신이 이미 하나님에 의해서 멸하기로 작정되었다는 것을 알고 있으며 또한 자신을 괴롭힐 수 있는 유일한 분은 예수님뿐이라는 것을 인정한다. 그러므로 성도 또한 이러한 사실을 인지하고 자기 자신의 무기가 아닌 하나님의 전신갑주로 무장하고 있어야 한다는 말이다. 결국 ‘하나님의 전신갑주’는 예수님의 십자가를 말한다. ‘하나님의 전신갑주를 입는다’는 말은 ‘예수 그리스도 안, 주 안’에 있는 것을 말한다.

Full body armor is the overall armor. This is necessary in times of war. It is for defense, not attack. on the battlefield of life, ordinary humans are distinguished from inside and outside by centering on their self, but saints are separated from inside and outside by the boundary of the whole armor of God. It cannot be made or obtained by human talent or ability. It is clothed by the Holy Spirit and is also the power of the Holy Spirit. Full armor of God reveals the situation inside of Lord and outside of Lord. 전신갑주는 통으로 입는 갑옷이다. 이것은 전쟁 시에 필요한 것이다. 그것도 공격용이 아니라 방어용이다. 인생이라는 전쟁터에서 보통의 인간들은 자아를 중심으로 해서 안과 밖이 나누어지지만 성도는 하나님의 전신갑주를 경계로 하여 안과 밖이 나누어진다. 하나님의 전신갑주는 인간의 재주나 능력으로 만들 수도 얻을 수도 없다. 이것은 성령에 의해 입혀지며 성령의 위력이다. 또한 전신갑주로 인해 ‘주 안’의 상황과 ‘주 밖’의 상황이 밝혀진다.

First of all, those in the Lord know that their world is just a virtual reality cut off from the eternal God. To say ‘disconnected from God’ means that humans are placed within a certain sphere of influence that prevents them from being connected to God. The true nature of this power is the devil. Not only does the devil induce the illusion that man can be like God, but he also encourages man to kill God and take his place. Since the devil lead humans to misunderstand themselves as individuals who can make independent choices and decisions on their own and he continues to seduce them with lies, humans spend their entire lives trying to prove their independence and values by building an absolute self-image that is deceived by a demon's lie. 우선, ‘주 안’에 놓인 자들은, 자신이 사는 세계가 영생이신 하나님에게서 끊어진 가상현실일 뿐이라는 사실을 안다. ‘하나님에게서 끊어져있다’고 하는 것은 하나님과 연결되지 못하게 하는 어떤 세력권 안에 인간이 놓여 있다는 의미이다. 이 세력의 실체가 바로 마귀이다. 마귀는 인간이 하나님처럼 될 수 있다는 착각을 하도록 유도할 뿐 아니라 인간으로 하여금 하나님을 죽이고 하나님자리를 탈취하도록 부추긴다. 악마는 인간이 스스로 독립적인 선택과 결정을 내릴 수 있는 단독자로 오해하게 하고 계속해서 인간을 거짓말로 유혹하기 때문에 인간들은 마귀에게 속아 절대적인 자아상을 구축하면서 자신들의 독립성과 가치를 증명하기 위해 일평생을 보낸다.

The place called "in the Lord" is where the false image of the self built by humans, who dared to attempt to take the throne of God under the devil's lie, is exposed and torn apart. God created for himself and intentionally the situation in which he was handed over to death by sinful human beings. By doing this he revealed the devil's plan behind man. This is what God does and is the power of God within those who are in the Lord, the ones in the full armor of God. It is the power of the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit to make them perceive themselves as utterly incompetent and impossible. ‘주 안’이라고 하는 장소는 이처럼 마귀의 거짓말에 속아서 하나님의 보좌를 탈취하려 시도한 인간들이 구축한 그 자아상이 허상이라는 것이 폭로되고 뜯겨지는 곳이다. 하나님은 범죄한 인간들에 의해 자신이 죽음에 넘겨지는 상황을 스스로 그리고 의도적으로 만들어 내셨다. 이렇게 하심으로써 인간 배후에 있는 악마의 계획을 드러내셨다. 이것이 바로 주 안에 있는 자, 곧 전신갑주를 입은 자 내부에서 벌이시는 하나님의 일이며 하나님의 능력이다. 성도들로 하여금 자신들은 철저하게 무능한 자, 불가능한 자로 인식하게 하시는 것이 성령의 능력이며 성령의 일인 것이다.

In addition there is a thorough self-denial there. An example is recorded in Matthew 25: 37-38, "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?" That is, those who are saved confess that they have no basis for their salvation. This is because the blood that flows within them is not the blood that they have inherited from their ancestors, but the blood of someone else, that is the blood of Jesus. 뿐만 아니라 거기서는 철저한 자기 부인이 발생한다. 그 예가 마태복음 25:37-38에 기록되어있다. “이에 의인들이 대답하여 가로되 주여 우리가 어느 때에 주의 주리신 것을 보고 공궤하였으며 목마르신 것을 보고 마시게 하였나이까 어느 때에 나그네 되신 것을 보고 영접하였으며 벗으신 것을 보고 옷 입혔나이까”. 즉 구원받은 자들은 자신이 구원받은 근거가 자신에게 없음을 고백하게 된다. 자기 안에 흐르는 피는 조상으로부터 물러 받은 피가 아니라 ‘타인의 피’, 즉 예수님의 피가 흐르고 있기 때문이다.

This means that the fact that they killed Jesus is circulated over and over again from head to toe. It means that because Jesus died in this land, in this virtual reality, those who had belonged to him have died after him. It is the ability of the Lord to put them into the full armor of God by letting them know that they are already dead, and it is also the ability of the Lord to make them defeat the devil within the full armor of God. All this is the power of the cross of Jesus. This is how Jesus’ blood travels all over the body, making his people "the ones who live in the Lord”. Thus they can no longer own their own, so they get to live as “the Lord’s”. 이것은 그들이 예수를 죽였다는 사실이 머리부터 발끝까지 계속해서 반복해서 순환된다는 의미이다. 예수님께서 자신이 먼저 이 땅, 이 가상현실에서 죽었기 때문에 예수님의 것이 된 자들도 예수님을 따라 죽었다고 하는 뜻이다. 그들이 진즉에 죽은 자라는 사실을 알리심으로써 그들을 전신갑주 안으로 넣어주시는 것은 주의 능력이며 이것은 또한 전신갑주 안에서 악마를 이기는 능력이 된다. 이 모든 것은 십자가의 능력이다. 이렇게 해서 ‘예수님의 피’가 전신을 순회하면서 흐르고 있는 그 자들은 ‘주 안에서 살아있는 자’가 되는 것이다. 그들은 그들 자신의 것을 소유할 수 없기에 ‘주님의 것’으로 살게 된다.

Meanwhile, the full armor of God also tells us about the situation "outside the Lord." The existence of the armor revealed that the devil has continued to dominate the human world. The devil, by his power, makes those who are already dead while belonging to Adam without the blood of Jesus, consider themselves to be living men, so that they continue to serve as devil's slaves. He has made humans weave their egos into all the world's looking good things - what looks like power, what looks like pride. It contains all the messy garbage of life. The devil threw all temptations upon man, causing man to be insane in his own strength and wisdom, in his own righteousness, and in his own success. 한편 전신갑주는 ‘주 밖’의 상황에 대해서도 알려준다. 전신갑주의 존재로 인해 악마가 지속적으로 인간세계를 장악하고 있음이 드러났다. 악마는 그의 능력으로 예수님의 피가 없는 자들, 곧 아담에 속하여 이미 죽은 자들로 하여금 그들 자신을 살아있는 자로 여기도록해서 그의 계속해서 그의 종으로 부려먹고 있다. 그는 인간들로 하여금 세상에서 각양 좋아 보이는 것들 - 힘으로 보이는 것, 자랑거리로 보이는 것 -로써 그들의 자아를 짜집기하게 했다. 이 속에는 인생의 온갖 지저분한 쓰레기가 다 들어있다. 악마는 온통 각양 유혹거리들을 인간에게 던져서 인간들로 하여금 자기 힘과 지혜와 자기 의와 자기 성공에 미치게 만들어버렸다.

Daniel 7:4 says, "The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a man, and the heart of a man was given to it." Here this beast is a mixture that is untidyly assembled in one body with the symbols of power in the world. But the reality is that this ugly beast is the hideous, distracted self-image of humans without the armor of God. Such a man is always anxious and restless throughout his life.다니엘 7:4에 보면, “첫째는 사자와 같은데 독수리의 날개가 있더니 내가 볼 사이에 그 날개가 뽑혔고 또 땅에서 들려서 사람처럼 두 발로 서게 함을 입었으며 또 사람의 마음을 받았으며”라고 기록되어 있다. 여기 이 짐승은 한 몸체에 세상에서 힘으로 상징되는 것들이 어설프게 조립되어 있는 혼합체이다. 그러나 실상은 바로 이 흉측한 짐승이 곧 하나님의 전신갑주가 없는 인간들의 흉측하고 산만한 자아상이다. 이런 인간은 평생을 사는 동안 늘 불안해하고 우왕좌왕한다.
On the other hand, those who have been armed in full armor that has suddenly come in happen to have an eye to see themselves as moving tombs and messengers of death. They get to be very surprised at their point of view and their status. God fills these men with the final will of God, unified and consistent. That is in the proclamation that “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good(Genesis 1:31)”. Gratitude springs out from them because of Lord's ability, Lord's skill, and Lord's salvation, planted upon those who are incompetent, regardless of their circumstances, their abilities, their profits, or their salvation. These are already dead, dead bodies, and are therefore free from all confinement by the Holy Spirit because they no longer have their own. These are the people of the Lord with the Holy Spirit. This is the state in which the function of the Lord's body occurs momentarily out of those in the full armor of God. 반면에 불쑥 들이닥친 전신갑주로 무장된 자들은 자신들을 움직이는 무덤과 저승사자로 볼 수 있는 안목이 생긴다. 이들은 자신의 안목과 자신의 신분에 대해 화들짝 놀란다. 하나님은 이런 자들을 통일되고 일관된 하나님의 최종 뜻으로 채우신다. 그 뜻은 바로 만드신 모든 것이 “보시기에 좋았더라”(창 1:31)는 선포 속에 들어있다. 자신의 형편과 자신의 능력과 자신의 이익과 자신의 구원과 상관없이 무능한 그들에게 심어준 주님의 유능함, 주님의 솜씨, 주님의 구원으로 인하여 이들에게서 범사에 감사가 터져 나온다. 이들은 이미 죽은 자, 곧 시체이며 그러므로 더 이상 자기 것이 없기 때문에 성령으로 말미암아 모든 얽매임에서 자유롭다. 이런 자들이 성령과 함께 있는 주님의 백성이다. 이것이 불현듯, 순간적으로 하나님의 전신갑주가 입혀진 자들에게서 주님의 몸의 기능이 발생되는 상태이다.
