13.Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14.Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15.and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16.In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17.Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
SUMMARY
The words mentioned by apostle Paul in today's text - truth, righteousness, peace, gospel, faith, salvation, the Holy Spirit and the word of God - are all ironically related to the devil. The devil has abused skillfully and frequently these same words which the Lord used to reveal the identity of the evil spirit, to govern the world mentally.오늘 본문에서 사도 바울이 언급한 말들-진리, 의, 평안의 복음, 믿음, 구원, 성령, 하나님의 말씀-은 아이러니하게도 전부 악마와 관련성을 띠고 있다. 주님께서 ‘악한 영’의 정체를 밝히는데 사용하신 이 동일한 단어들을 악마는 세상을 정신적으로 지배하는데 교묘하게 그리고 빈번하게 악용해 왔다.
All the Scriptures testify only to Jesus and his final victory which is the fulfillment of the covenant, the word of God. Today's text should also be linked to the fact that Jesus' victory and his humiliation from humans before his victory were revealed to the whole world. 모든 성경은 오직 예수님과 그분의 최종 승리 곧 하나님의 언약, 곧 말씀의 성취를 증거하고 있다. 오늘 본문의 내용 또한 예수님의 승리와 그 승리에 앞서 인간들로부터 당한 그분의 수모가 만천하에 공개되었다는 사실과 연결해 봐야 한다.
From the viewpoint of man, that is the devil's point of view, Jesus' death on the cross is an disgrace, defeat, humiliating, and an example of extreme lethargy. Thus, under the control of the devil, they draw on themselves the weapon and protective equipment that apostle Paul mentioned, making it clear that the seeming defeat and failure that occurred to Jesus should not be repeated to humans themselves. Humans want to get evidence to prove that they are great. This is exactly what the devil wants. 인간들의 안목, 즉 악마적 관점에서 볼 때 예수님의 십자가 죽음은 창피스러운 일이요 패배요 굴욕적인 일이요 무기력의 표본이다. 따라서 악마의 조종을 받는 인간들은 예수님에게 일어난 겉보기에는 패배와 실패로 보이는 일들이 인간들 자신에게는 반복되어서는 안 된다는 점을 분명히 하면서 사도 바울이 언급한 무기와 보호용 장비들을 자신들에게 끌어들인다. 인간들은 본인들이 대단하다는 것을 증명할 증거물을 얻기를 바란다. 이런 현상이 바로 악마가 원하는 것이다.
Therefore, if the saints want to arm themselves with these war equipment, they must first be exposed to the devilish aiming in them. A saint must confess himself to be an evil man before the Lord. They must always bear in mind what thoughts the Lord died to thwart lurking in them. 따라서 성도가 이 전쟁용 장비들로 무장하고자 한다면, 그들은 먼저 자신들 안에 있는 악마적인 노림수가 발각당해야 한다. 성도는 자기 자신이 주님 앞에서 악한 자임을 고백해야 하는 것이다. 그들 안에 잠복해있는 어떠한 생각들을 무산시키기 위해서 주님이 죽으셨는지를 그들은 항상 염두에 두어야 하는 것이다.
In fact, for humans, the apostle’s claim that an evil spirit that doesn’t exist in their view exists behind them and is controlling them is considered ‘fake news’. There is no room for interrupting, whether evil spirits or good spirits, in the thinking of men who only live by their own power. A man who does not want to depend on God or lose to God has already decided to "live without God." Therefore, such things as truth, gospel, righteousness, salvation, peace, the Holy Spirit and the word of God are not welcome by humans. 사실, 인간들에게는 자신들이 보기에 존재하지도 않는 악한 영이 자신들의 배후에 존재하며 더욱이 자신들을 조종하고 있다는 사도의 주장은 ‘가짜 뉴스’로 여겨진다. 오직 자신들의 능력으로만 살아가고 있다고 여기는 인간들의 사고에는 악한 영이든 선한 영이든 끼어들 여지가 전혀 없다. 신에게 의지하고 싶지도 않고 신에게 지고 싶은 마음도 없는 인간은 이미 ‘신 없이 살아보기’로 결정했다. 따라서 ‘진리’나 ‘복음’이나 ‘의’나 ‘구원’이나 ‘화평’이나 ‘성령’이나 ‘하나님 말씀’같은 것들은 인간에게 환영받지 못하는 것들이다.
If so, how can we identify the wicked spirit that does not exist on the human side as the evil spirit that exists? It is only possible if Jesus, who is the presence of heaven, appears in this world. And it is possible when you know how he embodied and perfected his words. 그렇다면 인간들 편에서 볼 때, ‘존재하지 않는 악한 영’을 어떤 식으로 ‘존재하는 악한 영’으로 들추어 낼 수 있을까? 그것은 하늘의 존재이신 예수님께서 이 세상에서 나타나야만 가능한 일이다. 그리고 그분이 어떤 식으로 말씀을 구현하고 완성하셨는지를 알 때 가능하다.
Jesus is God. But when God came to this world, those who were incited by the devil defeated God by crucifying God to death. To our surprise, however, this incident revealed the existence of an evil spirit. The same thing happened at certain point of time in Jacob's life. In fact, Jacob’s true nature - the one that can never be blessed, the one that should not be blessed - was exposed when he had wrestled with and defeated God who had appeared in the form of man at the ford of Jabbok. 예수님은 하나님이시다. 그러나 하나님께서 이 세상에 오셨을 때, 악마의 사주를 받은 인간은 그 하나님을 십자가에 못 박아 죽임으로써 하나님을 이겨먹었다. 그런데 놀랍게도 이 사건으로 인하여 악한 영의 존재가 규명되게 되었다. 이와 동일한 일이 야곱의 생애 한 시점에서도 일어났다. 사실, 야곱의 진짜 본성 - ‘결코 복 받을 수 없는 존재, 복 받아서는 안 되는 존재’ -은 얍복강 가에서 사람의 모습으로 나타나신 하나님을 상대로 씨름하여 이겼을 때, 그 정체가 탄로 났던 것이다.
Jacob holds on to God with all his might and cries out, "Please, save me!" Eventually, he learned the identity of the world he belonged to when he had defeated the angel. In other words, all the ideas that are prevalent in the world are the spirit of the devil, in which the devil and man were united and have tried to defeat even God. 야곱은 죽을힘을 다하여 하나님을 붙들고 “살려주세요”라고 부르짖는다. 결국 그는 자신이 천사를 상대로 ‘이겼다’는 것으로 인해 자신이 속해 있는 세상의 정체를 알게 된 것이다. 즉 이 세상에 만연해있는 모든 사상은 ‘악마와 인간이 한통속이 되어 하나님마저도 이겨먹고자’ 하는 악마의 정신이라는 것이다.
The Lord has brought into this world his saints, making them be at war with the spirit of this world within his victory. The devil thought he defeated Jesus by crucifying him, but Jesus shows the victory of the Lord to the saints who have become "the weapon of his word" , by the Lord his own death and resurrection. Therefore, all the things equipped to the saints - the full armor, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the combat shoes of gospel of peace, shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit - are signs to the fact that the Lord won a victory. 주님은 주님 자신의 승리 안에서 바로 이런 세상의 정신과 전쟁하도록 성도를 이 세상에 발생시키신다. 악마는 이 세상에서 예수님을 십자가에 못 박아 죽인 것으로 자신이 승리했다고 착각하지만, 예수님은 자신의 죽음과 부활로 말미암아 그들 자체가 ‘말씀의 무기’가 된 성도들에게 주님의 승리를 보이시는 것이다. 그러므로 성도에게 장착된 각가지 개념들 - 전신갑주, 진리의 띠, 의의 흉배, 평안의 복음 신, 믿음의 방패, 구원의 투구, 성령의 검-은 모두 주님이 승리하셨음을 성도에게 알리는 표식들이다.
When the Lord clothes the saints with full armor, he first empties the inside of the armor by scraping out their fleshly egos. God digs out the figure inside it and clothes His armor on the something empty as if he clothes armor on the invisible man. Humans have been the lens of the devil. The devil permeated his intentions into humans, causing it to spread to the spirit of the world. This means that the spirit of the devil who wants revenge on God has been reflected in human beings. That is, the human self is fully armed with the spirit of the devil.주님은 성도에게 전신갑주를 입히실 때, 먼저 내부에 자리 잡고 있는 그들의 육의 자아를 긁어내심으로써 갑옷의 내부를 비우신다. 하나님은 마치 투명인간에게 갑옷을 걸쳐주듯이 그 안에 있는 인물을 파내어 버리시고 하나님의 전신갑주를 입히시는 것이다. 인간은 그동안 악마의 렌즈역할을 했다. 악마는 자신의 의도를 인간들에게 투과시켜, 그것이 전 세계의 정신으로 확산되게 했다. 이는 하나님에게 복수하고 싶어 하는 악마의 정신이 인간에게 그대로 반영되었다는 뜻이기도 하다. 즉 인간의 자아는 악마의 정신으로 완전 무장되어 있는 것이다.
Therefore, the Lord scrapes their egos with His word and fills the empty space with His Word. This is the same principle that Jesus, the God, emptied Himself and came to earth in the likeness of sinful man and lived there according to the Word.그러므로 주님은 주님의 말씀으로 그들의 자아를 긁어내시고 그 빈 공간을 그분의 말씀으로 가득 채우신다. 이는 하나님이신 예수님께서 자신을 비우시고 말씀에 따라 ‘죄 있는 육신’으로 이 땅에 오셔서 사셨던 원리와 동일하다.
When the human ego keeps being slashed off by the Word of God and the outer layer of sinful nature of man keeps being peeled off, flesh of the saint becomes a kind of thin curtain contacting spirit. Spirit waits at the edge of the flesh, just as David was there at the place where Goliath stood, and there was Jesus at the place where a Samaritan woman living with her sixth husband was 인간의 자아가 말씀으로 깎여져 나가고 육의 표피가 벗겨져 나갈 때, 성도의 육은 영과 닿아있는 나풀거리는 얇은 커튼막이 된다. 골리앗이 서 있었던 그 곳에 다윗이 있었고, 여섯 번째 남편과 살고 있었던 사마리아 여인이 있었던 그 곳에 예수님이 계셨듯이 육의 끝자락에 영이 기다린다.
God makes the saint no longer have any ego to protect. So Jesus replaces their egos. In this way the LORD makes the saints serve as the lens of Jesus. This means that the saints are the ones who show and testify of the fulfillment of Jesus. Thus, the images of the “completion of the Word” mounted on the body of the saints are demonstrated through the saints : the full armor, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the combat shoes of gospel of peace, shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit.하나님께서는 성도로 하여금 더 이상 지킬 자아가 없게 만드신다. 그리하여 그 자아를 예수님이 대신하신다. 이렇게 하여 주님은 성도가 예수님의 렌즈 역할을 하게 하신다. 이는 성도는 예수님께서 이루신 말씀의 성취를 보여주고 증거 하는 자들이라는 말이다. 따라서 성도의 몸에 장착된 ‘말씀 완성’의 이미지들이 -진리의 띠, 의의 흉배, 평안의 복음 신, 믿음의 방패, 구원의 투구, 성령의 검- 성도를 통해 증거 된다.
But the evil spirit does not stop trying to take over the human self. The devil still encourages humans to keep their position. Therefore, we must introduce the fate of Old Testament Israel. They fell to ruin and were destroyed when they took the form of a collective ego against God's word, simply by body-to-body combination. They insisted on the geographical spatiality of the ‘land promised’ and on historical time perspectives interpreting the past and preparing for the future, while holding themselves at the center. The New Testament saints are those whose ego-centeredness and spatiality have been scraped out by the Word of God. 그러나 악한 영은 인간의 자아를 장악하고자 하는 시도를 멈추지 않는다. 악마는 인간들로 하여금 여전히 자기 입지를 지키도록 부추긴다. 그러므로 우리는 구약 이스라엘의 운명을 도입해야 한다. 그들이 그저 몸과 몸의 결집체로 하나님 말씀에 대적하는 집단 자아의 모습을 취했을 때, 그들은 파괴되고 멸망했다. 그들은 ‘약속의 땅’이라는 지리적 공간성을 고집했고, 자신들을 중심에 고정시켜놓고 과거를 해석하고, 미래를 대비하는 역사적 시간관을 고집했다. 신약의 성도는 이러한 자기중심의 시간관과 공간성이 말씀에 의해서 긁어내어진 자들이다.
Now everything is a 'still image' on one screen called revelation. The saints live as brides of Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Love is beautiful because there is freedom. It is visible only to the eyes of the saints that the whole world is closely activated by the Word of God. The apostle Paul asks questions in today's text. "Is there anyone who lives like me?" This is the work of finding his brothers. 이제는 모든 게 묵시라는 한 스크린에 있는 ‘정지화면’이다. 성도는 성령을 통해서 예수님의 신부로서 살아간다. 사랑이 아름다운 것은 그곳에 자유가 있기 때문이다. 온 세상이 말씀으로 활성화되어 있다는 것이 성도의 눈에만 보인다. 사도 바울은 오늘 본문을 통해 질문을 던진다. “나처럼 사는 사람이 혹시 있어요?” 이것은 곧 그의 형제찾기 작업인 셈이다. |
